The Griffin Fund
We are grateful to everyone who contributed to the 2023-2024 Griffin Fund in support of our school's athletic department. We raised $24,180 towards our $25,000 goal! These funds went towards tournament fees, athletic uniforms, and other supplies for over 200 athletes. Thank you!
What is The Griffin Fund?
In 2023, the Academy at Palumbo's Home and School Association launched The Griffin Fund, an annual fund used to fundraise for specific needs of our school that the School District of Philadelphia and traditional fundraising are unable to support. In collaboration with Principal Thompson, the PHSA helps identify those areas of need each year.
For 2024-2025, The Griffin Fund will support the "Health & Wellness" of Academy at Palumbo.
In collaboration with Principal Thompson, we are excited to announce that the “Health & Wellness” of Academy at Palumbo will be The Griffin Fund campaign for the 2024-2025 school year!
Our fundraising goal is $15,000.
We have raised $3200 so far.

Phase One of Health & Wellness Initiative:
Transformation of Counselors' Space into Wellness Center
Transformation of Counselors' Space into Wellness Center
Over the summer, the counselors’ space transformed into a new Wellness Center, an inviting and relaxing place for students to use if they need to take a break from the stresses of the school day, and, in some cases, get mental health assistance before returning to class.
FUNDING FOR THE WELLNESS CENTER: Much of the furniture, paint, supplies and other items were purchased upfront so the space would be ready for the start of school. We are still fundraising to cover the cost of those purchases.

Thank you to all our wonderful parent volunteers, school counselors, and building facility staff for pitching in to make the space ready for the start of the school year!
If enough funds are raised, we hope to do the following:
Beautification of 6th Floor Space There are discussions to beautify the 6th floor to provide a space for students and staff to exercise and to do yoga. We would need to purchase paint, supplies and some equipment.
Programming and Resources With a fully funded Griffin Fund, we can provide additional resources and programs to support the health and wellness of our school community.

1) Make a tax-deductible contribution today towards our $15,000 goal!
$1000 | supports purchase of furniture (sofas, new desks, storage cabinets)

$100 | provides items to beautify space
